Don't miss this! See what other young people have written to us. There are questions, experiences, and plenty of feelings.
Write to Us (See below.)
One of the most important parts of this website is the growing section that includes what has been written to us by other young people. Please send us your ideas, your experiences with racism, and/or your answers to any of the following questions. We will post them on the site so others can read them. (Our editors will make sure that what is posted is consistent with the purposes of the site and may do some editing to make what is posted accessible to all.) Brief anecdotes and comments are welcome. Extended, thorough essays are not necessary. Experiences with race and racism are experiences of the heart as well as of the mind. Please share your passion, your pain, your anger, your fears, and your hopes.
- How has racism affected you and/or your family?
- What have you experienced, seen or learned about that seems racist to you?
- What have you done (or heard about someone else doing) that you think is a step toward helping to end racism?
- What mistakes have you made with regard to race or racism that you have learned from?
- Who do you think could be added to our list of anti-racist heroes and heroines either a person of color or a white person either an historical figure or someone contemporary? (They don’t have to be someone famous.)
- Tell us about your experience with Listening Exchanges on a topic about racism.
- What questions do you have about race, racism, or anything on this website?
- Other contributions, suggestions, etc.?
